Department Security
Immediate Supervisor Hospital Operations Manager
ROLE SUMMARY
Ensure security measures are adhered to and suspicious actions reported and investigated promptly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service delivery

1. Monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, and access points.
2. Ensure all alarms are promptly attended to.
3. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
4. Making reports on observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
5. Contributes to team effort by helping as needed.
Medical Supplies and Technology

1. Maintaining inventory of all security equipment.
2. Report any broken equipment to your Supervisor for the appropriate maintenance action.
Health Workforce

1. Participate in the monthly evaluation and appraisal process.
2. Attend Work Improvement Meeting as defined in the department.
3. Participate in all departmental meetings and training.

Health information system

1. Prepare reports as requested by your supervisor.
2. Document all activities in the security unit as per the department’s needs.

Leadership and Governance.

1. Participate in leadership and mentoring programs as guided by the supervisor.
2. Report any incidents to your supervisor for action.
3. Adhere to guidelines set by the hospital.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:

● Diploma/certificate in security management.
● Certificate of good conduct.
● First Aid Training added advantage

Experience:

● Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably in a hospital setup.
